World War 1 Iron Cross 2nd Class (Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse). Re-instituted by King Wilhelm II on 5 August 1914 for award during WWI. The second class medal was for award to personnel who performed a single act of bravery in combat. The cross has a three piece construction and has a magnetic core. The cross is maker marked with 'CD 800' indicating production by the company 'Carl Dillenius' from Pforzheim and the silver content "800". The cross is complete with its hard to find 16cms long sized original ribbon as found. Rare original WW1 Iron Cross 2nd Class in good condition!
