WW1 Iron Cross 2nd Class 'KO'

Description

World War 1 Iron Cross 2nd Class (Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse). Re-instituted by King Wilhelm II on 5 August 1914 for award during WWI. The second class medal was for award to personnel who performed a single act of bravery in combat. The cross has a three piece construction and has a magnetic core. The cross is maker marked with 'KO' indicating prodcution by the 'Königliches Münzamt Orden' from Berlin. The cross is complete with its hard to find 20cms long sized original ribbon as found. Nice original WW1 Iron Cross 2nd Class in good condition!
