WW1 Iron Cross 2nd Class 'WILM'

Description

World War 1 Iron Cross 2nd class (Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse). Re-instituted by King Wilhelm II on 5 August 1914 for award during WWI. The second class medal was for award to personnel who performed a single act of bravery in combat. The cross has a three piece construction and has a magnetic core. The cross is maker marked with a 'WILM' indicating production by the company of 'H.J. Wilm' from Berlin. The cross is complete with its original smaller type piece of ribbon as found. Nice original WW1 Iron Cross 2nd Class in good condition!
