WW1 Wax Stick decorated with an Iron Cross (Wachsstock). From tradition for customs and meaning, wax sticks or wax sticks are given for special occasions such as birth, christening, death or communion. This example has been decorated with an image of Jesus Christ above an Iron Cross. This wax stick dates from the First World War, it however was used as a remembrance for someone who died in 1946. Written inside the lid of the carton box is "Andenken von Anna Oberzeilen, gest. am 12 Juli 1946". Rare and decorative original item!
