Description
Iron Cross 2nd Class (Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse) with ribbon. On 1 September 1939 Hitler reinstituted the Iron Cross (First time in 1813). The 2nd class cross was for award to personnel who performed a single act of bravery in combat. The cross has a three piece construction with an iron core. The cross just shows some normal wear and great detail overall, the cross comes with its original short piece of ribbon as found. The cross is maker marked with number '13' indicating production by the company of 'Gustav Brehmer' from Markneukirchen. This is the variant with the Swastika on a plateau. Nice example in good condition!
