Iron Cross 2nd Class (Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse). The cross, which is having the neat so-called 'Hochpolierte Kanten', is maker marked with number '40' - 'Berg & Nolte AG' from Lüdenscheid. The cross comes with its original 19cms long ribbon. Nice original cross in very good condition!

Description
Iron Cross 2nd class (Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse). On 1 September 1939 Hitler reinstituted the Iron Cross (First time in 1813). The 2nd class cross was for award to personnel who performed a single act of bravery in combat. The cross has a three piece construction and the cross does still have the neat so-called: 'Hochpolierte Kanten' - just shows some minor wear and great detail overall, the cross comes with its original 19cms long ribbon as found. The cross is maker marked with number '40' indicating production by the company of 'Berg & Nolte AG' from Lüdenscheid. Nice example in very good condition!
