WW2 US Medal Grouping

Description

World War 2 US Medal Grouping named to 'Robert J. Rouse'. The grouping is including his Bronze Star, Purple Heart, World War II Victory Medal, The European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal and the American Campaign Medal. The Purple Heart and the Bronze Star are both nicely engraved with his name 'Robert J. Rouse'. The 'Purple Heart' is a United States military decoration awarded in the name of the President to those wounded or killed while serving with the U.S. military. The Bronze Star Medal was instituted on 4 February 1944 and was awarded to members of the United States Armed Forces for heroic achievement, heroic service, meritorious achievements or meritorious service in the combat zone. The medals are post-war issued to Robert. 'Robert J. Rouse' was a WW2 Veteran Born in Palmyra, NJ. Unfortunately no further history about Robert is known to me, interesting set of medals that merits further investigation!
