NSDAP Kreis Level Political Leader's Visor Cap as intended for a 'Kreisleiter' (Schirmmütze für Politische Leiter der Kreisleitung). In January 1934 the NSDAP introduced a visor cap, based on the army style visor cap. The NSDAP was structured in four ascending levels of government, consisting of the "Ortsgruppenleitung," the "Kreisleitung," the "Gauleitung," and the "Reichsleitung," with each group being distinguished by a specific colour of piping. This is a nice quality issue brown coloured Political Leader's Visor Cap, the cap is piped in the white 'Waffenfarbe' indicating a political leader in the Kreisleitung Level. The interior of the cap is lined in orange-brown oilcloth and is still having the factory wrapping paper in place inisde the crown. The diamond shaped celluloid sweat-shield is not visible maker marked, it shows a carton tag which is size '57' marked. The simulated leather sweatband is in very good condition, there is a nice RZM tag beneath the sweatband. The cap is complete with its original gold finished political cap-eagle and cocarde. The pet is having a gold coloured chinstrap. The cap shows only minimal traces of years of storage and is in overal very good, near mint, unissued condition. Stunning original 'Kreisleiter' visor cap!
