Waffen-SS M42 Camouflage Combat Helmet (Stahlhelm M42). The steel construction M42 helmet retains a fair amount of its three-tone tan/brown/green 'Normandy' camouflage overpaint and about 30% of the SS decal. All three liner retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet is an M31 leather liner, the liner is regretabbly in damaged condition, see photos. The shell is marked with maker and size 'ckl64' which indicates production by the company 'Eisen-und Hüttenwerke, AG' in Thale/Harz. The reverse interior neck guard apron has a stamped serial number '3152'. This helmet has been found in a barn in Stavelot (Ardennes) in the 1990s and has been cleaned once. Nice original Camouflage Helmet!
