Cased Luftwaffe TSD Officer's Brocade Belt & Buckle

Description

Luftwaffe TSD Officer's Brocade Belt and Buckle (Luftwaffe Paradefeldbinde für Offiziere). The Luftwaffe Officer’s brocade belt and buckle were introduced on 20 May 1935. The brocade belt and the new style belt buckle were for wear by Officers when in parade, or formal dress and service dress when full decoration were ordered. This is a nice early silver-washed brass construction buckle having a separately attached first pattern 'drooptail' eagle. The buckle is not visible maker marked. The belt is approximately 100cms long, the brocade belt is showing some minor traces of usage, see photos. The belt comes together with a Luftwaffe Officer's Aiguillette (Achselband für Offiziere). The aiguillette was ment for wear by Officers when in parade, or formal dress and service dress when full decoration were ordered. This is a 1933 pattern 'Achselband' for Luftwaffe officers and officials. The aiguillette is in very good, mint and unissued, condition. The set is stored in its original box as found together and comes together with a complete set of insignia consisting of a nice hand-embroidered breast-eagle, a pair of collar tabs and a paoir of shoulder-boards in the rank of a 'Major der Truppensonderdienst'. The set comes with a letter dated 13 May 1944 from the 'Feldluftgaukommando Belgien/Nordfrankreich' about the transfer of officers to the Truppensonderdienst, marked with the Feldpostnumber of the Luftgau Postamt Brüssel (Belgium). Stunning original set in very good condition!
