This is a nice original WWII German 'PK-Foto' photograph showing General 'Eduard Dietl' (Commander of the 20th Mountain Army) sitting at a desk. Dietl was known as the hero of Narvik for his leadership during the German invasion of Norway in April 1940. For this, he was the first person to be awarded the Oak Leaves to the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross.On the back is a small description dated June 1942. This photo was taken by Kriegsberichter 'Krumme'. The photograph measures approximately 12 x 17,5 cms in size and is in good condition. Nice original photo!
