The photo ablum includes over 240 photographs taken during his journey accross the theater of operations, ncluding photos of Le Havre, Reims, Laon, Metz, the Siegfried Line, Mannheim, Garmisch Partenkirchen, Berchtesgaden, Salzburg, Vienna and Concentration Camp Dachau. The photographs include photos of damaged buildings, fortifications, a shot Sherman tank, several crashed German fighter planes and photos taken at the US "War Crimes Branch" as well as photos taken inside the concentration camp in Dachau showing many buildings and mock-up displays of atrocities committed in the camp. In the back a hand-drawn picture of the main building of KL.Dachau. The album is missing some photos, the photos of the ship on the first page are completely missing, the cover came loose and the album is in heavily used condition. The cover is showing a postal card from 'Berchtesgaden' with the writing 'ETO' 1945. The album however contains many highly interestig historic photographs. I have tried to capture most important details as best as possible in the many photos below, please take a look for more information about this historic significant photo-album!

This album originates from the closed Eyewitness Museum who acquired this from the famous 'John K. Lattimer Collection' when auctioned through Hermann-Historica in 2016. John K. Lattimer was assigned to the prisoner's barracks at Nuremberg in the spring of 1945, where notorious inmates like Hermann Göring were housed during their war crimes trial. Lattimer served as general medical officer during the Nuremberg Trials. He collected many artifacts during this period, for more information: wikipedia.org/John_K._Lattimer
