Police 8 Years Long Service Award

Description

Police 8 Years Long Service Award (Polizei-Dienstauszeichnung). On 30 January 1938, Hitler instituted a series of Long Service Awards to recognize loyal long service in the German Police. The award was originally issued in three classes with the first class award for twenty-five years service, the second class award for eighteen years service and the third class award for eight years service. This is a nice silver washed third class award for eight years loyal service. The medal looks to be maker marked. The medal is complete with its original blue coloured ribbon. Nice example in good used condition!
