This is a nice original period Luftwaffe postcard. The postcard is showing a directional Anti-Aircraft listening device (Hörchgerät). In order to provide early warning to Anti-Aircraft batteries, this listening apparatus was built around huge funnel-shaped tubes capable of detecting the sound of approaching aircraft over long distance. This postcard was published by 'Spezialverlag Horn' from Gotha. The postcard is in excellent unsent condition and measures approximately 14 x 9 cms in size. Nice and decorative original postcard!
