DAF porcelain vase 'Quantmeyer & Eicke'
This is a nice DAF (Deutsche Arbeitsfront) porcelain flower vase of the company 'Quantmeyer & Eicke' in Berlin. The 'Quantmeyer & Eicke' company is known for producting the tapestries for the 'Reichskanzlei', including reproductions of 17th and 18th century Flemish, Dutch and English tapestries depicting mythological or allegorical events. This beautiful vase is produced in a high-quality, off-white porcelain. It is approximately 12,5 cms tall and also 12,5 cms wide. The vase shows an in gilt painted on DAF logo (swastika in cogwheel) surrounded by the text: 'Queantmeyer & Eicke, Berlin' and the dates '1. Mai 1938' - '11. Juni 1938'. The other side of the vase shows a nice decor with a flying goose. The bottom of the vase is nicely maker marked by the 'Kunstabteilung' of the 'Rosenthal' company in Selb (Germany). Rare and decorative original vase!
