DRK Subordinate's Hewer
German Red Cross (DRK) Subordinate's Hewer (Hauer für Mannschaften). In December 1937 the DRK (Deutsches Rotes Kreuz) gained status as a legally recognized organization by the NSDAP. As with other essential services in Third Reich Germany, it came under control of the NSDAP. The hewer has bakelite grips. The blade is having a saw-toothed edge. The blade is in good used condition. The black painted scabberd is having nickel/silver parts. The hewer is complete with its rare original leather frog. The frog is nicely maker marked by the company of 'Paul Klopfer' from Berlin and dated 1938. The dagger is in overall good used condition, see photos. Nice original DRK hewer!
