Dutch Medal for Order and Peace

Description

Dutch Medal for Order and Peace (Ereteken voor Orde en Vrede). The medal was intituted by a Royal Decree of 2 December 1947. The medal was awarded to servicemen of the three branches in the armed forces and the Royal Dutch East Indies Army (KNIL) who have at least been in active service for three months in the period between 3 September 1945 and 4 June 1951 in the former Dutch East Indies and the adjacent sea areas. The medal is complete with its original confectioned ribbon. The medal is marked on the reverse by the company 'Kon.-Begeer' in Voorschoten. The ribbon has been confectioned by 'Fa.A.Tack' from Breda. Nice example in very good condition!
