M35 Combat Helmet - Prague Uprising

Unique ultra rare original Prague Uprising re-issued Wehrmacht M35 Combat Helmet (Stahlhelm M35). The stamped sheet steel construction M35 helmet retains most of its slightly rough textured, field-grey, paint. All three liner retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet has used tan M31 leather liner with all eight fingers intact. The liner is size marked with '58'. The reverse interior neck guard apron has a stamped serial number and parts of the name of the former WH soldier (gefreiter). An Wehrmacht eagle decal has been original removed by the Czech resistence, an Czech national Flag has been applied on front of the helmet and two decals in the Czech national tri-colours has been applied on both sides. The Prague uprising (Pražské povstání) was an attempt by the Czech resistance to liberate the city of Prague from the German occupation force during World War II. Events began on 5 May 1945, in the last moments of the war in Europe. The uprising went on until 8 May 1945, ending in a ceasefire the day before the arrival of the Red Army. A division of the 'Vlasov' Army under the command of General Sergei Bunyachenko turned on the Germans and joined Czech insurgents in the fight against the Waffen-SS. This helmet is garuanteed an original example used by one of the Czech resitance soldiers, only a few of these helmets still exists today. Maybe a ‘one-of’ opportunity to acquire such a rare helmet!
