Waffen-SS EM/NCO's Visor Cap (Schirmmütze). Visor caps were a standard item for all armed forces personnel during the Third Reich period. SS Officers and certain senior NCO ranks were responsible for purchasing their own uniforms and headgear. This is a nice quality, privately purchase, field-grey wool/tricot blend construction Officer's visor cap, the cap features a wide, black woolen centerband and white wool 'Waffenfarbe' piping to the top of the crown edge and both the top and bottom edges of the black woolen centerband. The interior of the cap is fully lined in a grey/tan rayon cloth, the cap is complete with a celluloid sweat-diamond. The brown coloured leather sweatband is in good used condition, there is some minor damage. The cap is not visible maker or size marked, the size is approximately a size '55'. The cap is complete with its original zinc type cap-eagle and cap-skull (Totenkopf). The cap shows normal traces of usage and wear with some minor (moth)damages, see photos, the cap is in overall good condition and has a great shape. Scarce and hard to find original SS EM/NCO's Visor Cap in good condition!
