Wehrmacht (Heer) M42 Single Decal Combat Helmet (Stahlhelm M42). The stamped sheet steel construction M42 helmet retains most of its rough textured, field-grey paint. The paint shows normal wear and the left side of the helmet has a standard Heeres decal which is retained for about 75%. All three liner retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet has a M31 leather liner. The liner is in used condition and partly damaged, see photos. The shell is marked with maker and size 'hkp64' which indicates production by the company 'Sächsische Emaillier und Stanzwerke A.G.' from Lauter. The reverse interior neck guard apron has a stamped serial number '1782'. Nice and honest original M42 combat helmet in good used condition!
