This is a nice single 'DJ' ('Deutsche Jugend') shoulderstrap. Personnel of the Deutsche Jugend, the junior section of the Hitler Jugend, were indentified as belonging to a particuler 'Bann' (area) by the wearing of numbered shoulder straps and cloth badges (Gebietsdreiecken). This shoulder strap was intended for wear by boys in the 'Bann 21' which is 'Horst Wessel - Prenzlauer Berg' (Berlin). This shoulder strap is having an original period paper-tag attached indicating that this was a 'Standardmuster'-piece (production sample), dated 20 November 1944. Rare original single shoulder strap of the 'Deutsches Jugend' in very good condition!
