Wehrmacht 'Großdeutschland' Cufftitle (Ärmelband). This is a third pattern 'Großdeutschland' Cufftitle as introduced on 7 October 1940. The cufftitle shows two silver coloured 'braid-based' borders and the neatly hand-embroidered script 'Großdeutschland' in silver bullion threads, embroidered in the 'Sütterlin' script. The cufftitle has the typical opened back construction with the top and bottom edges folded over the reverse. The cufftitle measures approximately 42cms in length, example in clearly used and tunic removed condition. The cufftitle is in showing normal traces of usage and would serve perfect to restore a GD tunic with. Desirable original cufftitle of an interesting unit!
