Kriegsmarine/U-Boot Protective Leather Jacket & Pants (Lederjacke und Lederhose). Protective leather jackets, pants and coveralls were listed as special clothing and were issued to engine personnel, certain deck and bridge personnel and U-Boat personnel when engaged in specific functions. These leather Kriegsmarine garments were also very popular amongst Wehrmacht Panzer crew members. The brown leather jacket is not visible maker marked or dated, the jacket however is nicely marked with a Kriegsmarine acceptance stamp showing a large impressed eagle above a 'M'. The brown leather leather pants are complete with their original leather suspenders. The pants are nicely maker marked by a Croatian manufacturer and dated 1943. The leather of both the jacket and pants is still very supple, the set is in used condition. Nice original Kriegsmarine leather jacket and pants as found together, great for a KM/U-boot or even WH 'Panzer' display!
