This is a nice 1st pattern NSKK driver's sleeve diamond (Ärmelraute für Kraftfahrer 1. Modell). The 'Kraftfahrraute' was originally worn by all NSKK members, on their lower left sleeve, but by September of 1939 only those who held one of the four classes of motor vehicle operator's licenses were permitted to wear them. This is an early 1st pattern showing a metal NSKK device mounted on a black woolen diamond with a buckram backing material. Nice original example in good, clearly used and tunic removed, condition!
