This is a nice example of a 'Feuerlöschpolizei' Sleeve Eagle (Ärmeladler). This machine embroidered version was to be worn by NCO’s (the German Police had no enlisted ranks) of the Fire Protection Police (Feuerschutzpolizei/Feuerwehr). The eagle is embroidered in carmine on a dark blue woolen background. The name of the city 'Niedermendig' is nicely embroidered above the eagle. There is some minor moth-damage, see photos. Nice original sleeve eagle in good condition!
