German 'Landwacht' Armband (Armbinde). The Landwacht was a civilian auxiliary police who supported the work of the gendarmerie in rural areas and was subordinate to it. Usually it was identified by armbands or by badges, which were worn attached to the clothing of the auxiliary police member. This is a white coloured cotton armband is showing the printed in black text: 'Landwacht' and an ink-stamp, originally attached to the armband is a nice zinc type 'Landwacht' badge. Rare original armband in very good condition!
