Wehrmacht 'Kleinfunksprecher d' (KlFuSpr.d) "Dorette" Radio. Complete set consisting of the radio (Sender/Empfänger), antenna (Antenne) battery box (Batteriekasten), headphone (Fernhörer) and throat microphone (Kehlkopfmikrofon), all stored in the original wooden transport box (Transportkasten "TpK a"). The Dorette radio was a late war small portable radio transmitter, this was the smallest and last German field radio which came into service in late 1944. The radio still retains approximately 95% of its original late war ordnance-tan paint. The radio is complete with metal type-plate, marked with 'KlFuSpr d' and the Serial-Nr '069 76 / 44 rpm'. The battery box has been restored and repainted, see photos. The headphone and throat microphone are in good complete condition. All items are nicely stored in the original wooden transport box, the box is complete with carrying handle and still retains most of its original fieldgrey paint. The box is marked 'TpK a' (Transportkasten) and 'Kl Fu Spr' (Kleinfunksprecher). The two wooden dividers between the compartments in the box have in my opinion been replaced/restored once. The wooden box is approximately sized 46,5 x 22 x 15 cms. The Antenna is stored in the lid of the box. The radio comes with a reprint of the original paper radio instruction manual. Great item for display in a diorama. These complete Dorette radio sets are very scarce and extremely hard to find. Nice original set!
