This is a nice pair of hand-embroidered Kriegsmarine Career/Specialist Sleeve Insignia as intended for a Naval Coastal Artillery Officer (Ärmelabzeichen für Marineartillerieartillerie offiziere). On successful completion of the appropriate training, personnel were issued distinctive career insignia. Regulations dictated that the base color of the insignia was to match the color of the uniform it was worn on. This badge was issued in pairs and worn on each lower sleeve. The insignia is roughly 50mm high and 40mm wide. It is showing a nicely hand-embroidered winged artillery shell in golden cellon thread on a dark navy blue wool base. Nice matching set in very good condition!
