Kriegsmarine Stabsgefreiter's Rank Chevron (Armwinkel). The Kriegsmarine introduced rank chevrons for wear by enlisted ranks in 1933 with one chevron indicating the rank of 'Gefreiter', two chevrons for the rank of 'Obergefreiter', and three chevrons for the rank of 'Hauptgefreiter'. The chevron is executed in black wool showing a machine embroidered chevron and rank pip indicating the rank of 'Matrosenstabsgefreiter'. Nice original example in mint and unissued condition!
