Luftwaffe Shooting Lanyard (Schützenschnur) 5th Grade (5.Stufe). The 1st to 4th grade lanyards are made of twisted bluish-grey with interwoven aluminum threads whereas the 5th till 8th grade are made of twisted aluminum thread with interwoven bluish-grey threads. This is an aluminum thread with interwoven bluish-grey threads example indicating the 5th grade. The aluminum shield is mounted on a rosette base in the same material as the lanyard with a stitched on, protective, Luftwaffe blue/grey wool backing. This lanyard would look great when re-attached to a Luftwaffe FLAK tunic or 'Waffenrock'. The lanyard is in very good condition with light age and usage toning. Rare and hard to find original lanyard in very good condition!
