Municipal Police 'Meister' Shoulder Boards
Description
Pair of Police shoulder-boards as intended for a 'Meister der Schutzpolizei der Gemeinden' (Municipal Police). The police were divided into eight assorted branches of service and during the restructuring the different police agencies were assigned specific identifying 'Truppenfarbe' (Branch Colors), with the wine-red truppenfarbe being allocated to the 'Schutzpolizei der Gemeinden' (Municipal Police). The German Police had no enlisted ranks with the lowest rank being an 'Unterwachtmeister' which was equivalent to the German army rank of Unteroffizier. This is a pair of 'Schutzpolizei der Gemeinden' shoulder-boards as intended for a 'Meister der Gemeinde Polizei'. The boards are constructed from brown and silver braid on a red-wine wool underlay. The boards are the sew-in type. Nice original slightly mis-matched pair in very good condition!
