Pair of 'Gendarmerie' NCO's Collar Tabs (Kragenspiegel). The police were divided into eight assorted branches of service and during the restructuring the different police agencies were assigned specific identifying 'Truppenfarbe' (Branch Colors), with the orange truppenfarbe being allocated to the 'Gendarmerie' (Rural Police). The German Police had no enlisted ranks with the lowest rank being an 'Unterwachtmeister' which was equivalent to the German army rank of Unteroffizier. The BeVo-woven collar tabs are mounted on orange wool having a carton backing and are complete with silver piping. Nice original pair in very good condition!
