Rare Waffen-SS French Volunteer's Collar Tab
Waffen-SS Collar Tab (Kragenspiegel) as intended for a member within the '33. Waffen-Grenadier-Division der SS Charlemagne'. As with other foreign volunteer units the Germans devised and produced special insignia intended for soldiers of the '33. Waffen-Grenadier-Division der SS Charlemagne'. The collar tab was published in the wartime 'SS-Taschen-Kalender 1945' (Soldatenfreund) as a French volunteer collar tab. The collar tab is embroidered in silver/grey thread on black wool. The collar tab is having a nice light-brown, coloured 'Buckram' backing. The collar-tab originates almost certainly from the SS clothing department at the Dachau KZ when liberated in 1945. The collar-tab is in good unissued condition with some minor staining caused by years of storage. Extremely rare French Volunteer Collar Tab in mint and unissued condition!
