'Reichsluftschutzbund' (RLB) blue-coloured, linnen-based, 'Melder' Armband (Armbinde für Melder). The RLB (Reichsluftschutzbund) was an official national organization tasked with all aspects of civil air raid defence. Uniformed RLB personnel were issued an identifying armband to be worn on the upper left sleeve when performing RLB duties. This armband was worn by RLB Messengers, the armband could also be worn with the civilian attire. The armband is showing an interwoven white coloured 'M' indicating a 'Melder' (Messenger) within the Luftschutz. Nice original RLB armband in very good condition!
