WH (Heer) Artillery EM/NCO's Visor Cap
WH (Heer) Artillery EM/NCO Visor Cap (Schirmmütze). Visor caps were a standard item for all armed forces personnel during the Third Reich period. Although enlisted personnel were issued their caps from government supplies they were also permitted to purchase privately tailored caps. This is privately purchased visor cap, complete with celluloid manufacturers sweat-diamond ('Raute') marked by the tailor 'Fr. Höltkemeyer' from Minden. There are no visible size markings. The Visor cap is piped in the red 'Truppenfarbe' (branch-colour) for Artillery personnel. The cap is complete with its original early nickel-silver cap eagle and cap cocarde. The simulated leather chinstrap is in good condition. The cap shows only minimal traces of usage and storage and is in overall very good condition, see photos. This cap was recently found in a housecleaning in Germany and was not part of a collection before. Nice original Artillery Visor Cap!
