Wehrmacht (Heer) M42 Combat Helmet (Stahlhelm M42). The stamped sheet steel construction M42 helmet retains most of its typical late war rough textured dark field-grey paint. The paint shows normal traces and small scratches caused by usage and some light surface rust. All three liner retaining rivets are intact, there is some tension on the rivets but they appear all untouched. The interior of the helmet is an M31 leather liner, the liner is in good condition and looks to be dated 1940 on the metal ring. The liner is complete with its original drawstring. The shell is marked with maker and size 'hkp64' which indicates production by the company 'Sächsische Emaillier und Stanzwerke A.G.' uit Lauter. The reverse interior neck guard apron has a stamped serial number '3250'. Nice original late war M42 combat helmet in used condition!
