WH (Heer) Medical Officer's M36 Field Blouse & Overseas Cap

Description

Wehrmacht (Heer) M36 Field Blouse (Feldbluse M36) and Overseas Cap (Einheitsfeldmütze M38 für Offiziere) as intended for an army medical 'Oberarzt'. The development of the M36 field blouse can be traced back to April 1933 with the introduction of the first pattern field blouses. Modifications of the M33 field blouse had evolved into the M36 Field Blouse. The buttons are all the field-grey pebbled examples. The tunic is complete with all original applied insignia, including a nicely hand-embroidered breast-eagle, machine sewn officer's type collar tabs and a pair of slip-on type officer's shoulder boards indicating the rank of an army medical 'Oberarzt'. Both the collar tabs and shoulder-boards are piped in the blue 'Truppenfarbe' (branch colour) indicating an 'Offizier o. Arzt der Sanitäts-Truppen' (Medical). The shoulder-boards are having medical Aesculapius cyphers and a capital 'A' cypher attached indicating an officer at the medical school (Ärztliche Akademie). The tunic is nicely size marked having a chest size of 90cms. The tunic is dated 1941 (B41) and maker marked by the company of 'Baumert & Zantopf' from Breslau (Wrocław, Poland). The tunic is in overall very good condition with minimal age toning. The tunic comes together with an original Medical Officer's overseas cap as found together, the overseas cap is showing nice original applied flat-wire officer's cap eagle and hand-embroidered officer's type cap cocarde. The cap is having a faded medical soutache. Stunning original Medical Officers Field Blouse & Overseas Cap in very good condition!
