WH (Heer) 'Oberleutnant der Kavallerie' Shoulder-Boards (Schulterstücke). The different branches of service within the German army were allocated a particular identifying 'Waffenfarbe' (branch of service) color which was generally displayed on the collar tabs. These shoulder boards are having the orange-yellow branch-colour as intended for an officer within the Cavalry, the pip attached to the shoulder-boards is indicating the rank of an 'Oberleutnant'. These are removable type boards as intended for the white summer tunics. Nice matching pair of shoulder-boards in good used condition!
