WH (Heer) 'Oberleutnant der Kavallerie' Shoulder-Boards (Schulterstücke). The different branches of service within the German army were allocated a particular identifying 'Waffenfarbe' (branch of service) color which was generally displayed on the collar tabs. These shoulder boards are having the orange-yellow branch-colour as intended for an officer within the Cavalry, the pip attached to the shoulder-boards is indicating the rank of an 'Oberleutnant'. These are removable type boards as intended for the white summer tunics. The boards measure approximately 11cms in length. Nice matching pair of shoulder-boards in good used condition!
