WH 'Infanterie-Regiment List' Cufftitle
Wehrmacht 'Infanterie-Regiment List' Cufftitle (Ärmelband). This is the enlisted-men's/NCO's pattern 'Infanterie-Regiment List' cuff-title, which is executed in silver-/white coloured linnen on a dark-green-coloured woolen-based background. The cufftitle shows two silver-grey coloured 'braid-based' borders as to be expected. The cufftitle has the typical opened back construction with the top and bottom edges folded over the reverse. The cufftitle measures 37cms in length and is in my opinion in clearly used and tunic removed condiiton. As most certainly known was this hononary cufftitle was issued to all members of the '199. Grenadier-Regiments' that was given the name "List" in order to commemorate Adolf Hitlers’ World war I period infantry regiment (Königlich-bayerische Res. Infanterie-Regiment 16). The cufftitle was instituted on 12 November 1943. Rare and desirable original cufftitle!
