Dutch made 'Zollgrenzschutz' Tunic
'Reichsfinanzverwaltung - Zollgrenzschutz' Tunic consisting of a Dutch made uniform (Dienstrock) and a german made pair of pants (Hose). Nice quality, 'privately purchase' M36-style field-grey wool tunic with dark-green collar. The tunic is complete with all buttons. The tunic is complete with a pair of shoulder-boards of the sew-in type and hand-applied collar tabs. The shoulder boards are having "RFV" cyphers attached indicating 'Reichsfinanzverwaltung' (National Finance Administration) together with one pip indicating the rank of a 'Zollassistent' (Customs assistent). A Customs Official's Cufftitle is sewn to the wearer's left lower sleeve. The tunic is made of typical Dutch material and having a tailor label attached from the tailor 'J.B.Köster' from Alkmaar (The Netherlands). The tunic is in overall good used condition. Of looks like a Heeres type breast eagle has been removed once, probably this tunic was reissued from Heer to Customs. There are award-loops on the left breast for wear of one award, the tunic comes together with a nice World War 1 Iron Cross 1st Class. The Iron Cross is nicely maker marked 'CD 800' indicating production by the company of 'Carl Dillenius' from Pforzheim. A nice ribbon-bar is attached to the tunic as well. The tunic comes together with a standard pair of straight legged pants with green piping as intended for Customs personnel. The pants are showing some moth damages, see photos. Overall a nice original tunic in good used condition. This would make a great display of a Customs Official who was stationed at the German-Dutch border during the war. Nice original Tunic!
