Gebirgsjäger Anorak (Windbluse)
Wehrmacht Mountain Troopers (Gebirgsjäger) Winter Camouflage Anorak (Windbluse der Gebirgstruppen). Due to their role in the potentially snowy mountainous regions Mountain troop personnel were issued a winter camouflage wind blouse as early as 1938. This is a tan-grey, reversible to white, cotton construction anorak. The pull-over anorak is featuring a V-neck with lace-up drawstring, the drawstring and metal grommets are missing. The V-neck has an overlapping wind flap panel to each side, closed with three pressed paper buttons. The anorak is having pressed paper buttons on the grey side and white pressed paper buttons on the white side. The original drawstring around the waist is still present. The original often missing tail-flap is present as well. The anorak is showing only minor traces of usage and some small damages/staining caused by storage, see photos. One of the seeves is missing the closure strap. The anorak is nicely RB.Nr. 0/0854/0009 marked and dated 1944 (M44). The anoraks were cut large enough to fit over the standard uniform. Nice original example in very good condition!
