Luftwaffe FLAK Officer's Flight Blouse
Luftwaffe FLAK Officer's Flight Blouse (Fliegerbluse). The Luftwaffe flight blouse was originally introduced in early 1935 and was based on the Fliegerbluse worn earlier by the DLV (Deutscher Luftsport Verband). The flight blouse remained in service through-out the war with minor modifications. High quality privately purchased blue/grey gabardine wool construction flight blouse features a vertical French fly style, front closure with four metal dish-buttons on the right front panel and the corresponding, hidden button holes on the left front panel. A nicely hand-embroidered Luftwaffe officer's type breast-eagle is nicely hand-sewn to the blouse. The collar is piped with silver cord and is having a pair of hand-sewn red coloured collar tabs attached, indicating a 'Hauptmann der Flakartillerie'. The tunic is complete with a nice matching pair of sew-in type shoulder-boards. A nicely hand-embroidered FLAK Artillery Personnel's Trade Badge (Flakartillerie Tätigkeitsabzeichen) is sewn to the wearer's lower left sleeve. The interior of the flight blouse is lined in light grey coloured rayon, the tunic is complete with internal dagger hangers. The flight blouse is showing clear traces of usage and some damages and/or repairs, see photos. The tunic comes together with a nice 6-piece ribbon-bar. Nice original FLAK Officer's flight blouse in used and worn condition!
