SA Obertruppführer's Tunic Grouping
SA (Sturmabteilung) Obertruppführer's Tunic Grouping consisting of his Brown Shirt (Diensthemd), Breeches, Belt & Buckle with Cross Strap, Tie with early Party Pin and a pair of tall brown leather boots. The SA (Sturmabteilung) was originally formed in August 1921 as a protective guard unit for the political leaders of the NSDAP. The light tan cotton twill construction shirt has a five button front closure. The shirt comes with machine sewn green coloured collar tabs. piped in yellow and marked '3/86' indicating a 'Obertruppführer' within the 3rd Sturm of SA-Standarte 86, part of the SA Gruppe 'Nordsee'. A multi-piece construction cotton party armband is sewn to upper left sleeve. The tunic is having a single sew-in type shoulder-board with the light grey branch colour indicating foot troops. The tunic is maker marked with 'BOBI' and 'Ges.Gesch.'. The wool breeches are in good used condition showing some minor (moth)damages. The belt is in used condition, the leather tongue has been reattached once, see photos. The belt comes with a nice brass construction SA belt buckle and RZM marked cross strap with matching belt-loops. The tie is a standard SA tie and having a nice early 'Ges.Gesch.' marked enamel Party Pin (Parteiabzeichen) attached. The brown leather boots are period boots in very good condition. This is a rare and hard to find complete SA Uniform Grouping!
