Waffen-SS Greatcoat

Description

Waffen-SS Greatcoat (Wachmantel). The Greatcoat/surcoat belonged to the standard equipment of every soldier. The greatcoat could be worn in cold weather or rain and all other conceivable situations. Heavy qualityfield-grey woolen construction greatcoat, it is fully lined with rayon lining material. This is a typical SS-Type greatcoat, without the turned up French cuffs as found on army type coats. The greatcoat has two rows of six front closure buttons and the greatcoat also has a single metal hook and eye at the neckline. The greatcoat is having a built-in hood. The greatcoat is not visible maker marked or dated, it is a large size. The greatcoat is complete with an original RZM type machine-embroiderd SS sleeve eagle which is hand-sewn to the sleeve. The greatcoat is showing minor traces of usage but is unfortunately showing some (moth and/or mouse)damages, mainly on the back, see photos. Rare and hard to find original Waffen-SS greatcoat!
