Waffen-SS Green Quilted Winter Parka

Description

Waffen-SS Reversible Green Quilted Winter Parka (Wendetarnparka). These parkas were also issued to WH (Heer) and late war Luftwaffe ground troops. The winter parka's were a standard issue item and were distributed to all EM/NCO’s for the winter season, (15 September to 15 April), with other winter garments and were to be returned to the units clothing depot in April for storage, repair and cleaning to be reissued the following September. The parka is reversible from green to white. The parka is made of different shades of green material and is showing a professional period repair made in Waffen-SS Oak Leaf (Eichenlaubmuster) camouflage fabric indicating that this parka has most likely been issued to a Waffen-SS soldier. The tie string at the neckline has probably been replaced. The parka is marked with 'S14' and size '1'. The parkas were designed large enough to fit over the standard service uniform and will fit a mannequin easily. The parka is in clearly used and combat worn condition showing some staining, see photos. Nice original late war Waffen-SS issued winter parka in combat worn condition!
