Waffen-SS M44 Dot Pattern Tunic
Waffen-SS M44 Dot Pattern HBT Field Blouse and Trousers (Tarnfeldbluse und Tarnhose M44). The M44 dot pattern (Erbstarnmuster) camouflage uniform, consisting of a field blouse and pants was officially introduced on 1 March 1944. The field blouse has four pockets with straight flaps and field-grey finished, pebbled metal buttons. There is a five-button front closure using the same type of buttons. There is a lay flat collar with a metal hook and loop neck closure. The interior is unlined, with grey rayon used for reinforcements at the seams and the small bandage pocket on the lower right. The tunic is nicely maker marked with 'Betr.Ra.' (Betrieb Ravensbrück) and shows size stamps, it is a medium size (chest size 98cms). The field blouse is in clearly used and worn condition showing some small damages and/or repairs, see photos. The trousers have two, diagonally angled, front pockets and a small watch pocket. A strap and metal buckle is sewn on each hip for tightening. The pants are not visible maker marked or dated, there are howver various post-war movie/theater (Statni) markings. Great and hard to find original combat-worn Waffen-SS camouflage tunic!
