Waffen-SS Tropical Sahariana Trousers (Waffen-SS Tropenhose für Mannschaften). Because of the service in tropical regions in the Balkans, Greece and southern Russia the SS developed in circa 1942/43 assorted tropical uniforms and headgear that basically followed the same patterns of the continental items. Included with the tropical garments were the 'Sahariana' style field blouse and shirt which were based on the popular Italian 'Sahariana' bush jacket. This is a pair of tropical Waffen-SS trousers, made of tan colored ribbed cotton, with light brown/orange coloured plastic buttons (all appear to be originally sewn). The shorts are nicely size marked. The shorts are in clearly used and worn condition showing traces of usage and one repair, see photos. These shorts would display great with a worn Sahariana style jacket. Hard to find original tropical SS trousers in good used condition!
