Wehrmacht Fur Winter Overcoat
Wehrmacht Fur Winter Overcoat (Pelzmantel). The sheep skin overcoat was designed for wear in extremely cold climates. Three quarter length, white coloured, machine stitched, multi-panel, patchwork sheep skin construction overcoat having a fieldgrey woolen collar and internal hood. The overcoat features an overlapping front closure with three leather reinforced, wooden dowel "buttons", one of the leather straps to close the buttons is missing The overcoat is nicely maker marked by the 'Lago Kür.Bay' and showing various size markings. The overcoat shows normal usage and wear and some small damages, see photos. The overcoat is cut large enough to fit over the standard uniform. Great original item for an Eastern Front display!
This coat originates from the collection of the recently closed Eyewitness Museum and was in display in the diorama in the last picture!
