Wehrmacht Motorcyclist's Protective Coat
Wehrmacht (Heer/Luftwaffe) Motorcyclist's Protective Coat (Kradmeldermantel). Motorcyclist’s/Dispatch riders were outfitted with special protective clothing that included the motorcyclist's protective coat or called 'Kradmantel'. The coat is constructed from rubberized cloth, it has a single metal hook and eye at the neckline and a Luftwaffe grey woolen collar. The shoulder-board loops and buttons are present. The coat is not showing any visible maker or size markings. The greatcoat is in worn condition with normal traces of usage, there is some staining and some small damages and cracks as usual with these coats. It is overall in very good condition, these specific motorcyclist's protective coats are very hard to find. Rare original 'Kradmantel'!
This Motorcyclist's Protective Coat originates from the collection of the recently closed Eyewitness Museum and was in display in the diorama in the last picture!
