WH (Heer) Infantry Officer's M41 Field Blouse

Description

Wehrmacht (Heer) M41 Field Blouse (Feldbluse M41) as intended for an 'Oberleutnant der Infanterie'. The development of the M41 field blouse can be traced back to April 1933 with the introduction of the first pattern field blouses. Modifications of the M33 field blouse had evolved into the M36 Field Blouse and in 1940 into the M40 Field Blouse which was followed by the M41 Field Blouse with minor variations. The German Officer’s service tunic followed the basic design of the Enlisted Men/NCO’s field blouse, the most readily visible difference (besides the insignia) are the turned up French cuffs. This is an EM's issue tunic which has been upgraded and tailored tailored for officer's wear by adding a more luxurious M36 style dark-green woolen collar. The tunic is in overall very good near mint and unissued condition with minimal age toning. The buttons are all the field-grey pebbled examples. The tunic is complete with all original applied insignia, including a nicely hand-applied flat-wire woven breast-eagle, machine sewn officer's type collar tabs and a pair of sew-in type officer's shoulder boards indicating the rank of an 'Oberleutnant'. Both the collar tabs and shoulder-boards are piped in the white 'Truppenfarbe' (branch colour) indicating the 'Infanterie' (Infantry). The tunic is nicely size marked having a chest size of 94cms. The tunic is dated 1941 (B41). Nice original Infantry Offciers Field Blouse in very good condition!
